You start out with baby steps.
Jeg synes det er en glimrende ide og om ikke andet for at vise min støtte, ville jeg nævne det her i vores fornemme p2p klub. :D
Hvem ved hvad det kan lede til?
Taget fra sitet:
So - what do we want with this site? Well - a lot of things, actually. Most will not work, but if we find a way of putting it out there we will at least give it a damn good try! Those of us involved in this want to inspire everybody to try and make a difference themselves - not just sit idly by and say it's useless. It's never useless to have done the right thing, however little success it turned out to have. This is the driving force of this site.
A few things we are considering, and will try to come up with ways to address:
A bunch of us have grown more and more tired, and downright scared at times, about how the news handle the P2P community. Important information gets omitted, augmented and distorted and several, if not most, news agencies simply don't seem to have more professional pride then that they resort to burping up press releases from interest organizations, uncontested. Which btw, at least on the surface, are not governmentally powered in any part of the world. Horrifyingly enough, these interest organizations (MPAA/RIAA and so on) have been given carte blanche in the trust department by the medias. We intend to try to find sources that still believes in good ol' journalistic skills and want to provide reporting of news with some of their own research involved.
We also need to look into ways to actually inform and educate all those that are involuntary running the errands of "big brother" by calling filesharers criminals (or the latest - we're potential terrorists apparently). Downloading a file which is copyrighted might be an infringement, but it does not warrant the kind of stalking we have had to endure these past few years. And what we all seem to be in the dark about is what kind of rights we have. Do we have any rights? Are the laws put there to protect us, to provide a basic security for its citizens? We think so, but the PR machinery allows for thinking that we might actually have no rights and that's just plain wrong. Let's see what we can do about that.
So - what exactly are we going to do with all these notions and wishes? Not sure yet, it will get clearer as we move on.
Send us suggestions, comments, tips, links and whatever you think we should know about.
