Grabit er nu også blevet usenet provider som Astranews (www.news.astraweb.com) og Giganews (http://www.giganews.com/). Umiddelbart ligner priserne (http://shemes.com/index.php?p=usenetservice#subscriptions) de samme som Astranews (www.news.astraweb.com) og Giganews (http://www.giganews.com/).
Hvis man som mig er tidligere bruger af Grabit skal man nu til at betale for at søge. Dette koster 1.99$ (12kr) om måneden, man kan dog søge 4 gange om dagen uden at betale (yay)
Her er listen over Grabit´s services:
* Fast worldwide access to Usenet newsgroups with servers in Amsterdam, New York and Phoenix;
* High retention (up to 4 weeks);
* High completion rate (up to 98%);
* Fast download speeds;
* Up to 10 concurrent connections per host;
* Access to the GrabIt Search that searches through all articles on these servers.
Markeret: Her giver astranews kun 4
Alt dette skete i den nyeste patch 1.5.3. Her er en liste over hvad der ellers skete i den patch:
Other changes in 1.5.3 are:
* GrabIt no longer selects a group to download using a message-id;
* Added a confirmation pop-up between hitting the 'clear history' button and actually clearing the history;
* Removed the double dot in the Incomplete Grab extension;
* Subscribed groups appear bold in the All Groups list;
* GrabIt Search information messages are now displayed in a pop-up instead of the search results;
* While pausing due to lack of disk space, GrabIt now automatically resumes downloading when enough disk space becomes available;
* Fixed the 'Error while downloading article' problem that is also known as the 'gobbledygook bug' in the GrabIt community;
* It is now possible to toggle if '(Incomplete Grab)' should be added to incomplete files (enabled by default);
* Individual parts from an Incomplete Grab will not longer be removed so the binary can be completed using another server.
